The DRC EZ Wire Harness Kit is a battery-powered wiring loom kit designed to simplify adding basic electrics to a dirt bike or enduro machine. - Disconnect the battery before starting any wiring work, and reconnect only once all connections are complete and insulated.
- Plan the loom route before fixing anything down, keeping wiring clear of the exhaust, steering stops, chain, suspension travel and any hot or moving parts.
- Secure the harness with cable ties at regular intervals, leaving enough slack at the steering head for full lock-to-lock movement.
- Ensure earth points are clean, bare metal and free of paint or corrosion for a reliable circuit.
- Protect connectors from water and mud ingress with dielectric grease and, where fitted, keep connector seals and boots in place.
- After washing or riding in wet or dusty conditions, check that plugs are seated and switches operate cleanly; avoid aiming a pressure washer directly at connectors, switchgear or the horn.
- Inspect the loom periodically for chafing, stretched sections or pinched wires, particularly near the headstock and any frame edges, and re-tie as needed.
- If a circuit stops working, check fuses, connectors and earths before cutting or splicing wires.
- Store the kit in a dry place before fitment and keep terminals free of moisture.
