The D.I.D 525VX3 ZJ is a rivet-type joining link designed for use with D.I.D's 525VX3 X-ring drive chain. It provides a permanent, press-fit connection between chain ends, making it the preferred choice for riders who want a secure, clip-free master link solution.
Manufactured by Daido Industrial Development — one of Japan's most respected chain makers — this link suits riders replacing or rejoining a 525-pitch VX3 chain on road and sport machines. Installation requires a chain riveting tool; the rivet-type link is not reusable once installed.

- Clean the chain ends and surrounding links before fitting the new master link.
- Install using a dedicated chain riveting/press tool only — do not strike with a hammer, as this can damage the link or chain plates.
- After riveting, verify the finished rivet heads are fully flared and uniform in size.
- Check that the newly installed link flexes freely in both directions with no stiffness or binding; a stiff link can cause drivetrain vibration and uneven wear.
- Apply motorcycle-specific chain lubricant to the master link and adjacent chain sections immediately after installation.
- This is a single-use component — once removed, it must not be re-installed; use a new link if the chain is opened again.
- After the first ride, re-check chain tension and inspect the riveted link visually before the next outing.
- Store unused links in a sealed bag away from moisture and solvents to prevent corrosion prior to use.
