The Pirelli Diablo Superbike is Pirelli's non-treaded racing slick, developed through the brand's World Superbike programme and built purely for circuit use. This listing is the 120/70R17 rear — a rear-fitment-only size aimed at lightweight race machinery — supplied in the SC1 soft compound.
With no tread grooves, the tyre puts the maximum possible amount of rubber on the tarmac at every lean angle, while the radial carcass holds its shape under hard braking and drive. SC1 is the compound for warm to hot track surfaces and abrasive, high-severity asphalt, where it offers strong mechanical grip that stays predictable across multiple sessions. It suits club racers, track-day regulars and professional riders alike.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified technician using proper motorcycle tyre equipment; slicks are stiff-sided and are not a home-fitting job.
- Fit in accordance with any rotation direction marking on the sidewall, and check rim width compatibility with your wheel before fitting.
- Set cold and hot pressures to Pirelli's recommendation for the SC1 or to your race series' guidance, and check pressures before every session rather than relying on the previous run.
- Bring the tyre up to temperature before pushing — use tyre warmers where permitted, or build pace gradually over the opening laps.
- Scrub in a new tyre over the first laps at reduced lean and drive before working it hard.
- SC1 is a soft compound intended for warm to hot track surfaces and high-severity asphalt; on cold or green tracks a different compound choice may give better results.
- Inspect after every session for blistering, tearing, graining, cuts or exposed cords, and retire the tyre if any are found.
- Let the tyre cool fully between sessions; grip falls away as heat cycles accumulate, so replace it once performance drops off rather than chasing setup.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, away from electric motors, fuels, solvents and sharp objects, and avoid stacking weight on the casing.
- Do not use on public roads — the NHS marking means the tyre is not for highway service and it is not designed for wet, cold or road conditions.
