The DENALI D3 is a compact 36-watt auxiliary driving light kit built around a 3.5-inch round pod, supplied as a matched pair with everything needed to wire them up. Each pod runs three 11-watt Cree XP-P LEDs for 2100 lumens, and DENALI's TriOptic lens system means you get both a spot and a hybrid driving lens with every pod — so you can set the pair up for long-range punch, wide spread, or one of each.
It suits adventure, touring and commuting riders who want a serious lift in night-time visibility without hanging oversized pods off the front of the bike. DENALI quote a spot-lens beam distance of over 1900 feet (roughly 580 m) at 1 lux for the pair, which is a long throw for a light of this size and draw.
The pods use DrySeal submersible construction to IP67, Impact PC polycarbonate bezels that won't corrode or fade the way anodised aluminium can, and LiveActive thermal management to hold output steady as the housing heats up. DataDim 3-wire smart dimming is built in, so the lights can be dimmed by any DENALI dimming controller rather than simply switched on and off.

- Choose your lens setup before final fitment — each pod ships with both a spot and a hybrid driving lens, so you can run two spots for maximum throw, two hybrids for spread, or one of each.
- Mount the pods to a solid, vibration-free point on the bike using the supplied hinge brackets and M8 stainless hardware, and keep the lens face clear of fairings, crash bars or luggage that could block airflow — the LiveActive thermal system relies on the housing shedding heat.
- Wire the kit through the supplied DENALI 2.0 harness, taking the trigger from a switched (ignition-controlled) circuit so the lights cannot be left on with the engine off and flatten the battery.
- Route and secure all wiring away from steering stops, exhaust heat and suspension travel; check for chafe points at full lock and full compression before you ride.
- Aim the beams on a level surface at night and set them low enough that they don't dazzle oncoming traffic. Check the current Australian and state road rules for auxiliary lighting fitment and use before riding on the road.
- To dim rather than simply switch the lights, connect the DataDim 3-wire circuit to a compatible DENALI dimming controller.
- Clean the lenses with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners, abrasive pads and insect removers, which can haze polycarbonate.
- Although the pods are sealed to IP67, don't aim a high-pressure washer directly at the housings, lens seals or connectors.
- Inspect mounting hardware, brackets and connector plugs periodically — particularly after off-road riding or long touring stints — and re-tighten any fasteners that have worked loose.
- Keep unused connectors capped and consider dielectric grease on plugs if the bike is regularly ridden in wet, muddy or salted conditions.
