- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry away from direct heat sources.
- Remove inner padding where possible and hand-wash with mild detergent; allow padding to dry completely before reinserting.
- Inspect retention straps, buckles and the adjustment dial regularly for signs of wear, fraying or cracking.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact — even if no visible damage is apparent, the foam liner may be compromised.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, petroleum products and chemical solvents, which can degrade both the shell and the EPS liner.
- Do not apply solvent-based adhesives, paints or harsh chemical cleaners to the shell, as these can weaken structural integrity.
- Check the visor mounting points periodically and re-tighten any loose hardware before riding.
- Retire the helmet in line with the manufacturer's recommended service life or sooner if the shell, liner or straps show any deterioration.
