- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and lukewarm water; avoid solvents, petrol, abrasive cleaners or aerosol sprays, as these can degrade shell materials.
- If the comfort liner is removable, hand-wash it separately in cool water with mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before reinstalling — do not use a dryer or direct heat.
- Inspect the shell and retention system before every ride for cracks, dents, deformation or fraying straps; retire the helmet immediately if any damage is found.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even when no visible damage is apparent — the EPS foam liner absorbs energy by compressing and cannot be relied upon for subsequent impacts.
- Do not apply paint, adhesive stickers or chemical sprays directly to the shell, as these may weaken the structural materials.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, UV exposure, fuel, and chemical fumes.
- Before each ride, adjust the retention system and chin strap so the helmet sits level, covers the forehead, and does not shift when you shake your head.
- Check buckle condition regularly; replace the strap assembly if it shows signs of fraying, cracking or failure to lock securely.
