The CPR Fuel Line Coupler is a simple in-line connector that splits a 6mm fuel hose into two quick-release halves, so the petrol tank can be lifted off without draining the system or spilling fuel over the bike.

Each half of the coupler carries its own valve. Fuel flows normally while the two halves are locked together, and the moment they are separated each side seals itself. That makes it a practical addition for anyone who removes the tank regularly for servicing, carburettor work, cable routing, filter changes or race-day maintenance.

Fit only to 6mm fuel hose — do not force onto hose of another size, as a loose or stretched joint can weep fuel.
Work in a well-ventilated area away from naked flames, sparks and hot exhausts, and keep a rag or catch tray under the join for the small amount of fuel left in the line.
Cut the hose squarely and push it fully onto each barb, then secure both sides with suitable hose clamps.
Make sure the two halves are fully engaged and locked before starting the engine; a partly seated coupler may not open the valves or seal properly.
After every reconnection, turn the fuel on and check the joint for weeping or seepage before riding.
Separate the coupler with the fuel tap turned off wherever the bike has one, and reduce residual pressure by letting the engine idle briefly beforehand if practical.
Keep the mating faces clean; wipe away grit, dust and old fuel residue before reconnecting so the valves seat cleanly.
Route the hose so the coupler is not kinked, stretched, rubbing against the frame or resting on the engine, and leave enough slack for suspension and steering movement.
Inspect the coupler and hose periodically for cracks, hardening, swelling or a stiff-feeling release, and replace the hose or coupler if any are found.
Do not clean with harsh solvents and do not use the coupler with fluids it was not intended for.
