- Always check cold tyre pressure before riding and inflate to the pressure specified in your motorcycle manufacturer's owner manual for this tyre size — riding on incorrect pressure accelerates wear and compromises handling.
- Allow a progressive break-in period on new tyres: avoid full lean angles, aggressive braking and hard acceleration for the first several rides until manufacturing release agents have worn from the tread surface.
- Inspect tread depth regularly and replace the tyre when the moulded tread wear indicators sit flush with the surrounding tread surface.
- After any significant impact with a pothole, kerb, or road debris, inspect the tyre sidewall and rim carefully for cuts, bulges, cracks or deformation before riding again.
- Keep the tyre clear of petroleum-based fuels, chain lubricants, brake fluid and solvents, which degrade the rubber compound over time.
- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician using motorcycle-specific equipment; improper mounting can damage the tyre bead or cause dangerous imbalance.
- Store unused tyres in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, UV exposure, heat sources and ozone-generating equipment such as electric motors or compressors.
- Do not exceed the maximum load rating marked on the tyre sidewall, and do not run the tyre on a rim width outside the manufacturer's specified range.
