The Continental TKC 80 Twinduro is a long-standing dual-sport tyre built for riders who split their time between bitumen and dirt. This is the 170/60 QB17 72Q tubeless rear fitment, with the deep, open block pattern the TKC 80 is known for and a 2+2 casing intended for heavier adventure machinery.

It suits large-capacity adventure and enduro bikes ridden on gravel, sand and trail sections without giving up sealed-road manners on the ride out there. Continental supplies the TKC 80 as original equipment on a number of BMW and KTM adventure models, and this size is also used as a rear fitment on 2021-onwards Harley-Davidson RA1250 and RA1250S Pan America models.

Sold individually as a rear tyre. Check your bike's handbook or placard for the correct size and load/speed rating before ordering.

  • Dual-sport block tread for mixed road and off-road use
  • Self-cleaning tread pattern that sheds mud and loose surfaces
  • High side stability on soft surfaces such as sand and gravel
  • Very good on-road handling and mileage for a knobby-pattern tyre
  • Proven over long-distance touring and competition use
  • Tubeless (TL) construction with 2+2 ply rating
  • 170/60 QB17 rear fitment, 72Q load and speed rating
  • Original equipment fitment on selected BMW and KTM adventure models
  • Also used as a rear fitment on 2021-onwards Harley-Davidson RA1250 and RA1250S

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — knobby adventure tyres are stiff and easy to damage during fitting.
  • Observe the rotation direction arrow moulded into the sidewall when the tyre is fitted, and confirm the bead is fully seated all the way around both sides.
  • As a tubeless (TL) tyre, only fit it to a rim rated for tubeless use with a sound valve and seal; replace the valve at each tyre change.
  • Scrub the tyre in gently for the first 100–150 km before hard cornering, heavy braking or aggressive off-road riding, as the new surface offers reduced grip.
  • Check pressures when the tyre is cold and set them to the pressures listed in your motorcycle's handbook or tyre placard, not to the maximum figure on the sidewall.
  • If you drop pressures for sand or trail work, return to the on-road pressures before riding back on sealed roads — running a block-pattern tyre under-inflated at highway speed builds heat and accelerates wear.
  • Do not exceed the load or speed limits of the 72Q rating, and keep total bike, rider and luggage weight within your motorcycle's limits.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, chunked or torn knobs, embedded stones, bulges and uneven or squared-off wear; replace the tyre if the casing is damaged or the tread is at or below the legal minimum depth in your state.
  • Block-pattern tyres wear faster than road tyres, particularly on hot bitumen and at sustained highway speeds — expect to check tread more often than on a touring tyre.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, fuels, solvents and electric motors that generate ozone.
