The Continental ContiTKC 70 Rocks is the more off-road focused rear tyre in Continental's adventure range, sitting between the road-biased TKC 70 and the knobby TKC 80 Twinduro. This 140/80R17 69S tubeless fitment is a rear-specific tyre for large-capacity adventure and dual-sport machines.
It suits riders who spend genuine time on gravel roads and dirt trails but still cover long tarmac distances to get there. A more open, aggressive rear block pattern adds traction away from the bitumen, while the lug arrangement is shaped to keep road noise down and hold on to the on-road manners and mileage the TKC 70 is known for.
Continental designed it to be run with a standard TKC 70 or TKC 80 Twinduro front tyre, so you can bias the rear towards dirt without changing the front. Sold individually as a rear tyre.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician; it is a tubeless design and must be mounted on a rim rated for tubeless use.
- Check the sidewall markings when fitting and follow any rotation-direction arrow and the "rear" fitment marking.
- Ride gently for the first rides after fitting so the new tread and any mould release film can scrub in before you use full lean angle or hard drive.
- Set and check pressures cold, using the pressures specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm/chain-guard placard — do not rely on the pressure moulded into the tyre sidewall.
- If you drop pressures for sand, mud or rocky terrain, do so with care, keep speeds down to avoid the bead unseating or the carcass overheating, and return to the recommended road pressures before riding sealed roads at speed.
- Inspect the tread before longer rides: pick stones out of the tread blocks and check the tread and sidewalls for cuts, splits, bulges or embedded objects.
- Replace the tyre before the tread reaches the legal minimum depth for your state, and replace rather than repair any tyre with sidewall damage or a puncture outside the repairable tread area.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, brake fluid, solvents and silicone-based tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight and from electric motors or welders, which generate ozone that ages rubber.
- Run it as a rear only, paired with a compatible Continental TKC 70 or TKC 80 Twinduro front, and confirm the size and load/speed rating suit your bike before fitting.
