The Alpinestars Chrome V2 Sport Hoodie is a riding hoodie built for urban commuting and everyday street riding. Its tech fleece construction keeps the weight and bulk down, while aramidic reinforcement panels across the shoulders and elbows add abrasion resistance where it matters most — all in a casual shape that doesn't look out of place once you're off the bike.

Protection comes from Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus impact protectors at the shoulders and elbows, and the garment carries CE Class A certification. It's also Tech-Air ready, so it can be paired with a compatible Alpinestars airbag system. The V2 update brings an evolved, athletic fit along with rider-focused details such as a cordless hood, a snap collar button and a rear snap connection that stops the hood flapping at speed.

Check that the Nucleon Flex Plus protectors are seated correctly in their shoulder and elbow pockets before every ride — armour only works when it sits over the joint.
Remove both sets of protectors from their pockets before washing, and refit them once the hoodie is completely dry.
Wash separately following the sewn-in care label; close all zips first to stop them snagging the fleece.
Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, solvent-based cleaners and dry-cleaning fluids — these can degrade the aramidic reinforcement panels and the protector foam.
Do not tumble dry. Hang or dry flat out of direct sunlight and away from heaters, radiators and other direct heat.
Do not iron over the aramidic panels, protector pockets, zips or printed detailing.
Clean the protectors themselves with a damp cloth and mild soap only, then air dry fully before refitting.
The hoodie is not a waterproof garment — the single waterproof pocket protects its contents only, so use a wet-weather outer layer in sustained rain.
If running a compatible Alpinestars Tech-Air system underneath, size the hoodie so the vest can inflate freely and follow the airbag system's own manual for charging, updates and servicing.
Inspect the aramidic panels, seams, zips and protectors after any crash or slide; replace the garment or the protectors if they show abrasion, deformation or impact damage.
Store clean and completely dry on a hanger in a cool, dry place rather than compressed in a bag, so the protectors keep their shape.
