  • Remove cheek pads from the helmet by locating the press-stud or hook-and-loop attachment points inside the helmet shell and gently unclipping them.
  • Hand wash only using lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap; do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue, as residue can cause skin irritation during riding.
  • Air dry completely in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or direct heat sources before refitting; heat can deform foam.
  • Do not wring or twist the pads, as this can damage the foam core and backing material.
  • Refit by aligning the attachment points carefully and pressing firmly until each clip or stud engages fully.
  • Replace the pads if the foam becomes permanently compressed, as degraded foam no longer provides adequate comfort or a consistent helmet fit.
  • These pads are specific to the RXT 817 Street helmet — do not attempt to fit them to other helmet models.
