  • Clean the outer shell using a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution; never use solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the shell finish and degrade underlying materials.
  • Wipe the visor or shield with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth — avoid dry-wiping or paper towels, which can cause fine surface scratches.
  • If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it in cool water with mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before reinserting; do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
  • Inspect the chin strap, buckle, and retention hardware before each ride; retire the helmet if any component shows fraying, cracking, or failure to lock securely.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no visible damage is evident — EPS foam liner does not recover after a compressive strike.
  • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, all of which degrade shell materials and foam liners over time.
  • Avoid resting the helmet against the fuel tank, mirrors, or painted surfaces where petrochemical residues can transfer and stain the liner or shell.
