The Cardo Freecom/Spirit 2nd Helmet Kit is a complete audio and mounting kit that lets you move a Freecom or Spirit headset between two helmets without re-installing the same hardware each time. Leave the kit permanently fitted in your second lid, then simply slide the headset unit onto whichever cradle you need.
It suits riders who run more than one helmet — a full-face for weekends and a flip-front or adventure lid for commuting and touring — or anyone who shares a headset across a spare helmet. Both boom and wired microphones are supplied, so the kit can be set up in open-face, modular or full-face helmets, and either a clamp or an adhesive glue plate can be used depending on the shell and neck-roll design.
Sound comes from the same 40mm HD speakers used in Cardo's Freecom and Spirit installations, so audio quality stays consistent whichever helmet you reach for.

- Check compatibility before fitting — this kit is for Cardo Freecom and Spirit headsets, not for other Cardo model lines.
- Choose the mount to suit the helmet: use the clamp where there is a gap between the shell and the internal padding, and the adhesive glue plate on helmets with no usable gap.
- Before using the glue plate, clean and dry the outer shell area thoroughly and let the adhesive set fully before clipping the headset unit on or riding.
- Fit the boom microphone in open-face and most modular helmets, and the wired microphone in full-face helmets where a boom cannot sit correctly.
- Position the microphone close to the mouth and, with the wired type, tuck it inside the chin bar padding facing your mouth so wind noise is kept down.
- Seat the 40mm speakers in the helmet's ear pockets directly over your ear canals; use the supplied backing pads to bring them closer if the pockets are deep.
- Route and tuck all cabling behind the helmet lining so nothing is pinched, stretched or left loose against your neck.
- Wipe the speakers, microphone and cradle with a soft, slightly damp cloth only — do not soak them, and keep solvents, petrol and alcohol-based cleaners away from the components.
- Remove the headset unit from the cradle and store the helmet somewhere cool and dry when it is not in use.
- Inspect the cradle screws or adhesive bond periodically and refit if the mount develops any movement.
