The Biltwell Lane Splitter Gen 2 Face Shield in Smoke is a direct-replacement visor designed exclusively for the Lane Splitter Gen 2 full-face helmet. The smoke tint reduces glare and bright-light fatigue, making it suited to daytime riding in sunny conditions.
As a genuine Biltwell part, it is engineered to the same fit and finish as the shield supplied with the helmet, ensuring correct retention and a consistent seal around the aperture. A practical addition for riders who want a tinted option alongside their standard clear shield.

- Clean the shield with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap applied with a clean microfibre cloth — never use paper towels, which will scratch the surface.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry, or blot dry gently with a fresh microfibre cloth.
- Avoid petroleum-based solvents, acetone, or ammonia-based glass cleaners, as these will damage the tint and degrade the polycarbonate.
- Inspect the shield for chips, deep scratches, or crazing before each ride; a compromised shield should be replaced immediately rather than continued in service.
- Remove the shield for storage by following the Lane Splitter Gen 2 release mechanism; do not force it.
- Store the shield in a soft pouch or the helmet's bag when not in use to prevent contact scratches.
- Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight during storage to slow tint degradation over time.
