A genuine Biltwell replacement shield for the Lane Splitter helmet, finished in a rainbow mirror coating. It's injection moulded from polycarbonate thermoplastic for scratch and impact resistance, and the reflective surface finish helps cut glare in bright conditions.
This is the Gen 2 version, so it ships with an all-new baseplate kit. That means it fits all Lane Splitter models, and the revised mechanism gives firmer detents across the three open positions. An anti-fog treatment on the inner surface helps fight moisture build-up from breathing and humidity.
Ideal for Lane Splitter owners who want a spare shield, a replacement for a scratched one, or simply a different look for the helmet. As with any mirrored shield, it's best kept for daylight riding.

- Fit the supplied Gen 2 baseplates before installing the shield — the shield is designed to work with these baseplates, not the earlier ones.
- After fitting, check that the shield seats fully closed and clicks positively into each of the three open detents before riding.
- Clean with warm water and a mild soap using a soft microfibre cloth; rinse away grit first so you don't drag it across the surface.
- Avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners, insect removers and abrasive cloths — these can damage the polycarbonate and the mirror coating.
- Treat the inside gently: blot rather than scrub, as hard rubbing can wear away the anti-fog treatment.
- Don't apply aftermarket anti-fog sprays or waxes to the interior; they can react with the existing treatment.
- For stubborn insects, lay a damp cloth over the shield for a few minutes to soften the residue, then wipe away.
- Allow the shield to air dry or pat dry with a clean soft cloth; don't use heat guns, hair dryers or direct sunlight to speed it up.
- Store spare shields in a soft bag or the original packaging, away from heat and direct sunlight, and never rest a helmet face-down on the shield.
- As a mirrored shield, it reduces light transmission — swap to a clear shield for night riding, tunnels and low-light conditions.
- Replace the shield if it becomes deeply scratched, crazed or cracked, as this scatters light and impairs vision.
