  • Disconnect the motorcycle's ignition and allow any previously fitted bulb to cool fully before handling.
  • Handle the bulb by its base only — avoid touching the glass envelope with bare skin, as skin oils can cause localised hot spots and reduce bulb life.
  • Align the BS15S bayonet pins with the corresponding slots in the lamp holder, press in firmly and rotate to lock into place.
  • Restore power and test indicator function in both flash directions before refitting any trim panels or lens covers.
  • If the replacement bulb flashes at an incorrect rate (too fast or too slow), inspect the flasher relay unit, as relay timing is calibrated to the total circuit wattage.
  • At the time of replacement, inspect the lamp holder socket for corrosion or damaged contacts and clean with electrical contact cleaner if required.
  • Store spare bulbs in their original packaging in a cool, dry location, away from impact, moisture, and chemicals.
