A replacement 6V headlight bulb rated at 35/35W with a BA20D two-pin bayonet base. The twin-filament design carries both the high and low beam in a single bulb, so one globe covers the full headlight function.

Suited to motorcycles, scooters and small-capacity machines running a 6-volt electrical system and a BA20D headlight socket. Check the base type and voltage of your existing bulb before ordering, as BA20D bulbs are also produced in 12V ratings that are not interchangeable.

  • 6V operating voltage
  • 35/35W twin-filament rating for high and low beam in one bulb
  • BA20D base with two side pins for bayonet fitment
  • Direct replacement globe for 6V motorcycle and scooter headlights

  • Confirm your existing bulb is 6V with a BA20D base before fitting — a 12V bulb of the same base will not perform correctly on a 6V system, and vice versa.
  • Switch off the ignition and let the old bulb cool before removal; headlight globes stay hot well after the light is turned off.
  • Handle the new bulb by its metal base and avoid touching the glass with bare fingers, as skin oils can create hot spots and shorten bulb life.
  • If the glass is marked, clean it with methylated spirits on a lint-free cloth and let it dry fully before switching on.
  • Align the two side pins with the slots in the socket, push in gently and twist to lock — do not force the bulb.
  • Refit the headlight seal and lens correctly so moisture cannot enter the housing, which can cause premature failure.
  • Check that both high and low beam operate after fitting, and confirm beam aim before riding at night.
  • Carry a spare globe if you ride an older machine, and store spares in their packaging in a dry place away from vibration.
  • If bulbs fail repeatedly, have the charging system and regulator checked, as over-voltage is a common cause.
