The Bolt Motorcycle Hardware Thread Chaser Refill Kit provides replacement chasers in the two most common metric thread sizes found on motorcycles — M6x1.0 and M8x1.25. It is designed to extend the service life of Bolt's Thread Chaser Kit without the need to replace the entire set.
Thread chasers clean and restore damaged or corroded threads on engine cases, frames, and fastener bosses without removing base material, making them an essential workshop consumable for any serious motorcycle technician or home mechanic.

- Use thread chasers to clean and restore existing threads only — they are not taps and should not be used to cut new threads.
- Apply a light cutting oil or lubricant to the chaser before use to reduce friction and improve thread cleaning.
- Turn the chaser slowly and steadily; back off slightly every half-turn to clear debris, especially in blind holes.
- Inspect the thread after chasing and remove any loose material with compressed air or a clean brush before refitting fasteners.
- Replace chasers when the cutting edges show visible wear or when they no longer clear threads effectively — this refill kit provides direct replacements.
- Store chasers in a dry location to prevent corrosion; keep them in the original packaging or the Bolt Thread Chaser Kit case when not in use.
- Do not use on aluminium threads with excessive force; light, controlled passes prevent thread damage.
