- Confirm fitment by checking the disc included in the kit against your motorcycle's make, model and year before beginning the oil change.
- Always warm the engine briefly before draining oil to help contaminants flow out with the old oil.
- Discard the old sealing washer and use only the new hardware supplied in the kit — never reuse a crush washer or worn drain plug.
- Torque the drain plug to the manufacturer's specified torque for your motorcycle; do not overtighten, as this can damage the sump threads.
- Inspect the drain plug threads and sump thread condition each time you perform an oil change.
- Dispose of used engine oil and old hardware responsibly at an approved waste oil collection point.
