The Michelin Bib Mousse Gel Lube is a purpose-formulated gel lubricant designed specifically for use when fitting Michelin Bib Mousse foam inserts into off-road motorcycle tyres. It is applied to the inner tyre carcass and the outer surface of the foam insert to allow correct seating without damaging the foam during installation.

Suited to motocross, enduro, and off-road competition riders who rely on Bib Mousse inserts in place of conventional inner tubes, this lubricant is a necessary part of any proper Bib Mousse fitment. The 50g tube provides enough product for a standard installation.

  • Apply the gel lubricant evenly around the full inner circumference of the tyre carcass before attempting to fit the Bib Mousse insert.
  • Also coat the outer surface of the Bib Mousse foam with the gel to allow the insert to slide into the tyre without tearing or deforming.
  • Do not substitute with petroleum-based greases, tyre mounting pastes, or silicone sprays — these are not compatible with Bib Mousse foam and may cause premature deterioration of the insert.
  • Use only the amount needed for a smooth fit; excess gel does not improve installation and may make the insert harder to seat correctly.
  • Replace the cap firmly after each use to prevent the gel from drying out.
  • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Discard the tube if the gel has dried, separated, or significantly changed in consistency.
