Fit the peak and mouthpiece to the helmet's existing mounting points and hand-tighten the fixings only — overtightening can strip the threads or crack the peak.
Re-check the peak and mouthpiece fixings before each ride, as vibration and roost impacts can loosen them over time.
Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge; soften dried mud first rather than scrubbing it off dry.
Avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive pads, which can dull the finish and damage the graphics.
Allow both parts to air dry away from direct heat sources; do not use a heat gun or leave them on a hot exhaust or in a closed vehicle.
Replace the peak or mouthpiece if it is cracked, distorted or has taken a heavy hit — a damaged peak can break away or twist the helmet in a subsequent impact.
