The Airoh Aviator Ace 2 is a carbon-shelled off-road helmet built for riders who spend real time in the dirt. The gloss carbon finish shows off the bare weave under a multi-layer UV-protective coating, and the shell is offered in two sizes so the fit stays proportionate rather than bulky at the smaller end of the range.
Airoh's ASN system is designed to reduce the forces transmitted to the head in an impact, while AEFR emergency-release cheek pads let first responders remove the padding without moving the rider's head. A large peak, chin and head intakes and rear exhaust venting keep air moving at trail speed, and the shell is prepared for Airoh's AWC4 and AWC2 communication units (sold separately).
Suited to motocross, enduro and trail riding. Goggles are required, as with any helmet of this type, and are not included.

- Check the fit before every ride: the double D-ring strap should be pulled snug under the jaw, with the loose tail secured so it cannot flap.
- Remove the Coolmax liner and cheek pads and hand wash them in cool water with a mild detergent; rinse thoroughly, reshape and air dry away from direct heat and sunlight, then refit fully before riding.
- Clean the carbon shell with a soft cloth, warm water and mild soap only. Petrol, solvents, ammonia-based cleaners and abrasive polishes will attack the multi-layer coating.
- Soften dried mud and insects by laying a damp cloth over the area for a few minutes rather than scrubbing the gloss finish.
- Check the peak screws periodically and after any washing or crash; spare peak screws are supplied in the box.
- The nose cover can be removed for more airflow in hot conditions and refitted for cold or dusty riding.
- Keep the intake and exhaust vents clear of packed mud so the ventilation system keeps working.
- Do not use the AEFR emergency cheek-pad tabs as handles — they are for first responders removing the pads with the helmet in place.
- If fitting an Airoh AWC4 or AWC2 unit, use the moulded speaker recesses and cable channels; never cut or modify the liner or EPS to make an accessory fit.
- Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place, out of sunlight and away from fuel vapours; never hang it on a mirror or handlebar end.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible, and do not paint it or apply solvent-based stickers.
