Designed for MX, Enduro, and off-road riding, the SM3 helmet integrates advanced technologies and innovations aimed at enhancing usability, comfort, and impact protection.

Key Features:

• Advanced Shell Construction: This helmet features an injection-molded shell that incorporates a special blend of polymers enhanced by varying thicknesses, designed to provide the optimal combination of impact protection and lightweight. The medium SM3 weighs 1430g (ECE) and 1460g (DOT).
• Ventilation: Maximized ventilation and high levels of heat transfer exchange thanks to 10 intake vents and seven exhaust ports.
• Protection Against Rotational Acceleration Forces: Alpinestars' patented low-friction lining is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts. This layer essentially acts as a sliding plane to mimic the brain's own low-friction cerebrospinal fluid, which is the body's natural defense against oblique impacts.
• Visor Release: The patented visor release system ensures that the visor releases with the correct predetermined amount of force, effectively reducing forces on the rider's neck during an impact.
  

Construction:

• The internal and external surfaces are designed to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
• 5 internal EPS parts with 4 densities to effectively manage volume and performance during impacts.
• Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet's cheek pads for added comfort and performance.
• The comfort liner is made from recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint.
• The fit can be customized to the rider's head thanks to the crown and cheek pads, which are available as genuine replacement parts in different thicknesses.
  

Protection:

• Alpinestars has introduced a new internal standard for the SM3 helmet to test the helmet's chin bar under more demanding conditions than the homologation standard, and to meet Alpinestars' new standards, both the shell thickness and the design structure of the helmet have been optimized in the chin bar area for superior impact performance.
• The internal and external surfaces are designed to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
• Equipped with an Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads to allow for safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still on, while the contoured 3D foam ensures rider comfort.
• The soft textile chin strap is 25 mm for optimal safety and rider comfort.
• The stainless steel D-rings ensure a tight and secure fit.
• The SM3 helmet meets DOT certification and ECE 2206 homologation for worldwide use.
