The Arai RX-7V EVO is the flagship of Arai's racing programme — the same platform developed through top-level competition, handmade in Japan by a three-generation family business of riders. This example wears the Schwantz 30th graphic, a commemorative multi-colour design on Arai's premium full-face road and track shell.

Underneath the paint it is pure RX-7V EVO: a PB-SNC² outer shell built around Arai's R75 philosophy of a rounder, smoother, stronger surface designed to glance off and spread impact energy, paired with the Variable Axis System (VAS) visor mechanism that drops the visor pivot well clear of the shell's critical area. It carries ECE 22.06 approval, the more demanding replacement for ECE 22.05.

Suited to sport and track riders who want a race-derived helmet with genuinely serious ventilation, a highly adjustable interior and a full range of replaceable comfort parts. Listed in size XL.

Five-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover crash damage, normal wear of consumable parts such as visors and comfort padding, or damage caused by unauthorised modification.
  • Wash the shell with lukewarm water and a mild soap only; never use petrol, thinners, benzene or other petroleum-based solvents, as these can attack the shell and visor.
  • Clean the visor with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry gently — avoid glass cleaners, abrasive cloths and anti-fog sprays, which can damage the coating.
  • If a Pinlock insert lens is fitted (sold separately on this model), treat its anti-fog surface as delicate: wipe with a damp soft cloth and no chemicals.
  • Remove the liner, cheek pads and chinstrap covers and hand-wash them in lukewarm water with a mild detergent; air dry away from direct sunlight and never machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Dry the helmet naturally at room temperature — keep it away from heaters, hair dryers and hot exhausts, which can distort the EPS and shell.
  • Store the helmet in its bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and never hang it on a mirror or handlebar where the inner lining can be crushed.
  • Fine-tune the fit by peeling away the 5 mm layers from the cheek, ear and temple pads, or by fitting different-thickness Arai pads — remove one layer at a time.
  • When refitting the VAS visor, check that both side pods click fully home and that the visor opens, closes and latches correctly before riding.
  • Fasten and check the Double-D ring strap on every ride; do not use strap clips or extenders that bypass the D-rings.
  • Do not paint the helmet, apply solvent-based adhesives or drill it for accessories, and replace the helmet after any significant impact even if no damage is visible.
  • Route comms wiring through the speaker pockets without compressing the liner or interfering with the Emergency Release System tabs.
