The Arai Quantic in Diamond Black is a handmade, ECE 22.06 approved full-face road helmet built around Arai's long-standing protection philosophy: a smooth, round outer shell designed to glance off and spread impact forces rather than catch on them. The PB e-cLc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction) shell keeps core strength while cutting weight, and every helmet passes Arai's in-house testing before it leaves the factory.
Aerodynamics and airflow borrow from Arai's full-race helmets, so the Quantic sits neatly in the airstream at highway speed while twelve ventilation ports move air through the shell. Inside, a premium brushed nylon liner with the Facial Contour System, a 5mm wider base flare for easier fitment, speaker pockets and a neck roll wire pocket make it practical for intercom users and long days in the saddle.

5-year limited manufacturer warranty from Arai.
- Always fasten the Double-D rings by threading the strap through both rings and pulling it snug — never ride with the strap loose or clipped only at the end tab.
- Check the fit before each ride: the helmet should sit level, hold firm against the cheeks and not roll forward off the head when the strap is done up.
- Wash the removable brushed nylon liner, cheek pads and ear cups by hand in lukewarm water with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly and air dry away from direct heat and sunlight — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Clean the outer shell, visor and Pinlock insert with lukewarm water and a mild soap only, using a soft cloth. Never use petrol, thinners, benzene, ammonia-based glass cleaners or other solvents — they can damage the shell finish and craze the visor.
- Soften stubborn insects by laying a damp cloth over them for a few minutes rather than scrubbing, which can scratch the visor.
- Dry the anti-fog side of the Pinlock insert by dabbing, not wiping, and keep fingers off the coated surface.
- When refitting the VAS visor, follow Arai's fitting sequence and confirm both side pods and the latch click home, then open and close the visor fully to check it seals and holds each detent before riding.
- Use the 5mm peel-away temple pads to fine-tune fit only if needed — the removal is permanent, so try the helmet as supplied first.
- Keep vent intakes and exhausts clear of dirt and insects so airflow is not restricted, and check the chin vent slider still moves through its positions.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place in its bag, away from direct sunlight, fuel and exhaust fumes, and never rest it on a mirror or bar end where the inner liner can be compressed.
- Do not paint, apply adhesives, stickers or self-tapping fasteners to the shell, and do not modify the shell or EPS to fit accessories.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible, and retire it as advised by Arai for age-related deterioration.
