- Before installation, drain all hydraulic clutch fluid from the master cylinder and reservoir.
- Clean the master cylinder bore thoroughly with fresh brake/clutch fluid — do not use petroleum-based solvents, as they will damage rubber seals.
- Inspect the master cylinder bore for scoring or pitting before fitting new seals; a damaged bore will cause the rebuilt unit to leak prematurely.
- Lubricate all new rubber seals with clean clutch fluid during assembly — do not use grease or silicone spray.
- After assembly, bleed the hydraulic clutch system fully to remove all air before riding.
- Check the fluid reservoir level after bleeding and top up to the indicated mark with the correct specification fluid.
- Monitor for fluid weeping around the master cylinder in the first few rides following the rebuild.
- Store unused kit components in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight to prevent premature seal degradation.
