The AGV Sportmodular is a premium modular helmet constructed around a full carbon fibre shell, making it one of the lightest flip-front helmets available for road use. The chin bar raises with a single-handed action, offering the convenience of a modular design without the weight penalty typically associated with that format.
Developed for touring and sport-touring riders who want AGV's race-heritage construction in a practical everyday package, the Sportmodular pairs a composed aerodynamic profile at highway speeds with the ease of removal at stops. - Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners as these damage the carbon finish and lacquer.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles will scratch the surface.
- Remove the inner lining and cheek pads and hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent; allow to air dry completely before refitting.
- Ensure the Pinlock insert is correctly seated in the visor pins to maintain an airtight seal; replace the insert if fogging performance noticeably degrades.
- Inspect the visor pivot mechanism and chin bar locking latch periodically; if either shows stiffness or irregular engagement, have the helmet inspected by an authorised AGV dealer before further use.
- Do not store the helmet in direct sunlight, in a motorcycle pannier for extended periods, or near fuel, oil, or chemical fumes, as these degrade both the shell structure and the EPS liner over time.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no external damage is visible — the EPS liner absorbs energy through permanent deformation and cannot be relied upon after a strike.
- As a general guideline, replace the helmet after approximately five years of use from the date of first wear, as shell resins and liner foams degrade with age regardless of visible condition.
- Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
