Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use solvents, petrol, abrasive cleaners or aerosol sprays, as these can degrade shell integrity and paintwork.
Clean the visor with lukewarm water and a clean microfibre cloth only; avoid ammonia-based cleaners and paper towels, which can cause micro-scratches and optical distortion.
Remove the internal liner and cheek pads before washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and allow all components to air dry completely before reinserting — do not use a clothes dryer or direct heat.
Inspect the retention system (chin strap, buckle and D-rings) regularly for wear, fraying or deformation and replace if any deterioration is found.
Inspect the shell and visor locking mechanism before each ride; retire and replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — internal damage to a carbon shell may not be visible externally.
Do not paint, drill, modify or apply stickers or adhesives to the shell, as this can compromise structural integrity.
Store in a helmet bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, cleaning chemicals and UV exposure, all of which degrade foam liners and shell resins over time.
