  • Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive pads or aerosol cleaners, which can damage the finish.
  • If a visor is fitted, clean it with a microfibre cloth and a helmet-safe visor cleaner only — paper towels can introduce fine scratches.
  • Remove any washable interior liners or cheek pads and hand-wash them in cool water with a gentle detergent; allow to air dry fully before reinserting.
  • Store the helmet in its helmet bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes.
  • Inspect the chin strap and buckle before every ride; retire the helmet if the strap shows fraying or the buckle does not click securely.
  • Replace the helmet after any impact that places significant load on the shell or EPS liner, even if no external damage is visible — internal foam is a single-use energy absorber.
  • Do not apply paint, adhesive stickers over ventilation channels, or drill into the shell — these actions compromise structural integrity.
  • Do not rest weight on top of the helmet when stored, and avoid leaving it on mirrors or other narrow contact points that could deform the liner.
