The AGV K6 S is a premium full-face sport helmet built for road riders who prioritise lightweight construction and certified protection. - Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based products, solvents, acetone, or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell finish and graphics.
- Clean the visor with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor — this causes fine scratches that impair visibility.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads using the ERS pull tabs and wash in cool water with a mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before reinserting.
- Do not submerge the helmet in water or use a pressure washer at any point.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — the internal shell and liner may be compromised in ways that are not apparent.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, and solvents; a helmet bag reduces dust accumulation and minor scratches during storage.
- Do not paint, drill, add adhesives, or otherwise modify the shell, as this can weaken structural integrity and may void certification.
- Inspect the chin strap and retention system before each ride; replace if webbing is frayed or the buckle does not click and hold securely.
- Check the visor for deep scratches or cracks regularly and replace it if vision is compromised; the Pinlock insert should also be inspected for fogging seal degradation.
- Familiarise a trusted contact or first responders with the ERS cheek pad pull tabs at the chin, which allow the cheek pads to be removed without moving the rider's head or neck.
