Clean the outer shell using a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, acetone, strong detergents or abrasive pads, as these will damage the shell and graphics.
Clean the visor with warm water or a dedicated visor-safe cleaner applied with a clean microfibre cloth; avoid dry-wiping to prevent scratching.
Remove the inner comfort liner and cheek pads before washing; launder according to the care label on the liner, typically gentle machine cycle or hand wash in cool water.
Allow all interior components to air-dry completely before reassembling and wearing.
Do not paint, drill, adhere stickers to, or otherwise modify the shell, as any alteration can compromise structural integrity.
Replace the helmet after any impact — even a drop from bench height — regardless of whether external damage is visible; the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber.
Inspect the chin-strap webbing and buckle regularly for fraying, corrosion or abnormal wear, and do not use the helmet if the retention system is compromised.
Store the helmet in its protective bag away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, paint fumes and temperature extremes, all of which degrade shell materials and foam liners over time.
As a general guideline, retire and replace the helmet no later than five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the shell, liner or retention system show visible deterioration.
