The AGV K5 Jet is an open-face helmet designed for riders who want the broad field of vision and natural airflow that a jet-style lid provides. Built by AGV — one of Italy's most established helmet manufacturers — it is well suited to urban commuting and longer touring days alike.

The matt black finish gives the helmet a clean, low-key appearance. Available across a wide size range, the K5 Jet is designed to accommodate a broad variety of head shapes without compromising on everyday wearability.

  • Open-face (jet) design for wide peripheral vision and direct airflow
  • Thermoplastic outer shell construction
  • Integrated retractable sun visor eliminates the need to carry a spare tinted visor
  • Removable and washable inner lining for ongoing hygiene
  • Micrometric buckle chin strap for precise, repeatable fit adjustment
  • Available in sizes XS, S, M/S, M/L and 2XL

  • Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, brake fluid or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell material and paint.
  • Wipe the visor with lukewarm water and a clean microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles will scratch the surface.
  • Lubricate the sun visor slider mechanism occasionally with a small amount of silicone spray to keep the action smooth and prevent sticking.
  • Remove the inner lining and cheek pads before washing; hand-wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent, rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry completely before refitting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Inspect the micrometric buckle and chin strap regularly for signs of wear, fraying or damage; replace if the buckle does not lock and release cleanly.
  • After any significant impact — even one where external damage is not visible — retire the helmet. The EPS liner absorbs energy through deformation and will not provide equivalent protection after a second strike.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, chemicals and heat sources; a breathable helmet bag is preferable to an airtight case.
  • As a general guideline, replace the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the fit has loosened, the shell shows crazing, or the lining has deteriorated.
