Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petrol-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish or structural integrity.
Clean the visor (if fitted) with a clean microfibre cloth and warm water to avoid scratching the lens surface.
Check the retention system (chin strap and buckle) regularly for wear, fraying or loss of tension; replace if damaged.
Inspect the shell for cracks or deformation after any impact — replace the helmet immediately if damage is found, even if it is not visible externally.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemicals, which can degrade the shell and foam liner over time.
If the helmet includes a removable interior liner, follow the care label on the liner for washing; allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
