- Clean the outer shell with warm water and mild soap applied on a soft damp cloth; never use petrol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell material and graphics.
- Always wet the visor surface before wiping — never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles will scratch the polycarbonate; use a dedicated visor cleaner or mild soapy water.
- Remove the cheek pads and crown liner before washing them; hand-wash in warm water with a small amount of mild detergent, then allow them to dry completely before reinserting.
- Clear debris from ventilation ports using a soft brush to maintain airflow efficiency.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and extreme heat, all of which degrade the shell material and EPS foam liner over time.
- Inspect the visor regularly for deep scratches or crazing that could impair vision; replace the visor if clarity is compromised.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — EPS foam damage is not always externally visible.
- Do not apply paints, adhesives, or non-AGV-approved stickers to the shell, as chemical reactions can weaken structural integrity.
- Avoid resting the helmet on mirrors or handlebars where an accidental fall could cause hidden damage to the EPS liner.
