The AGV K3 SV Birdy is a full-face motorcycle helmet aimed at everyday road riders who want dependable protection paired with a striking graphic finish. It sits in AGV's accessible mid-range and delivers a practical balance of comfort, ventilation and safety.
The SV designation denotes an integrated internal drop-down sun visor — the helmet's most practical feature — allowing the rider to adapt to changing light without stopping or swapping lenses. - Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish.
- Wipe the visor with a damp cloth only; never use dry paper towel or abrasive materials as these will scratch the lens surface.
- Remove the interior lining and hand-wash with a mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before refitting.
- Deploy and retract the internal sun visor using the dedicated control lever; do not force the mechanism if resistance is felt — check for debris in the channel.
- After riding in rain, open vents and allow the interior to air dry fully before storing to prevent odour and mildew.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes, ideally in a cloth bag rather than an airtight case.
- Do not rest the helmet on a fuel tank or near products containing solvents, as prolonged contact can degrade the thermoplastic shell.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact — even if no visible damage is present, the EPS liner may be compromised.
- Inspect visor seals, pivot screws and the sun visor mechanism periodically; replace worn or cracked components before they cause sealing failure.
