Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; never use petrol, acetone, paint thinners or abrasive cleaners as these will damage the shell and graphics.
Clean the visor with a soft, damp cloth or a purpose-made visor cleaner; avoid dry-wiping as this scratches the optical surface.
Remove the interior cheek pads and crown liner before washing; hand-wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry the interior padding.
Store the helmet in a helmet bag or on a padded stand, away from direct sunlight, high heat and fuel or solvent fumes, all of which degrade the shell and EPS liner over time.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible; internal EPS damage is not always apparent.
Inspect the visor retention mechanism and chin-strap buckle regularly; replace the visor if it becomes deeply scratched or difficult to operate smoothly.
If fitting a Pinlock lens, follow the visor manufacturer's insertion guide to seat the lens pins correctly and ensure the seal is airtight around the perimeter.
