Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based cleaners, solvents or abrasive products that can damage the polycarbonate shell and graphic finish.
Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as dry dust will scratch the surface.
Remove the inner liner and cheek pads and hand-wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
Do not store the helmet in direct sunlight, near fuel, or in an environment with solvent fumes, as these degrade the shell and EPS liner over time.
Store in a breathable helmet bag in a cool, dry location when not in use.
Inspect the visor retaining mechanism and ventilation ports periodically; clear debris with a soft brush.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — EPS liner compression is internal and not always detectable from outside.
As a general guide, consider replacing your helmet every five years from the manufacture date, or sooner if the fit, liner condition or shell integrity has deteriorated.
