Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petrol-based products, solvents and abrasive materials, as these damage the shell finish and lacquer.
Wipe the visor with warm water and a clean, soft cloth — never dry-wipe or use paper towels, as this scratches the optical surface.
Remove the inner liner following the manufacturer's instructions and hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before refitting to prevent odour and liner degradation.
Clean the peak with a damp cloth; inspect the peak fixings periodically and tighten or replace as needed to prevent vibration at speed.
If riding at sustained high road speeds, remove or adjust the peak to the manufacturer's recommended low-drag position as detailed in the owner's manual.
After any impact — regardless of how minor it appears — retire the helmet from service and have it inspected or replaced; EPS liner damage is not visible externally.
Store the helmet in a breathable bag or case in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, oils and solvents, all of which degrade the shell resin and EPS liner over time.
Replace the helmet in line with AGV's published replacement schedule or at the first sign of damage, crazing or significant wear to the retention system or chinstrap.
