Measure the circumference of your head just above the eyebrows and check it against RXT's size chart before riding; the helmet should sit snugly with no movement when you shake your head.
Always fasten the chin strap fully with the quick-release buckle before setting off, and check the buckle engages cleanly each time.
Clean the outer shell and visor with warm water and a mild soap on a soft cloth only. Avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive cloths, which can damage the finish and craze the visor.
Soak stubborn insects off the visor with a damp cloth rather than scrubbing them dry, as grit will scratch the surface.
Raise the drop-down sun visor before cleaning the interior, and operate the slider gently; never force it if it feels obstructed.
Adjust the peak and refit the detachable neck curtain by hand only, and check the peak fasteners are secure before each ride. Consider removing or lowering the peak for sustained high-speed riding, where wind load on the peak increases neck strain.
Air the helmet out after every ride and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and heat sources. Do not hang it on a mirror or handlebar end, which can deform the lining.
Open and close the Flow Thru vents by hand and keep the vent channels clear of dirt and insects.
Replace the helmet after any impact or crash, even if there is no visible damage, and replace a visor that is deeply scratched or has impaired vision. An optional clear visor is available separately.
Do not paint the shell, apply stickers with strong adhesives, or modify the helmet in any way, as this can compromise the ECE 22.06 approval and the shell's integrity.
