The RXT 918 Flip-Up Fusion is a modular motorcycle helmet designed for road riders who want the full-face protection of a traditional helmet with the added convenience of a flip-up chin bar.   • Clean the outer shell with a mild soap solution and a soft, damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, fuel, or abrasive cleaners that can damage the shell and graphic finish.
  • Clean the visor by rinsing away grit or debris with water first, then wiping gently with a damp microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor as this causes fine scratches.
  • Before each ride, latch the flip-up chin bar firmly in the closed position and confirm it does not shift under light pressure; ride only when the latch is positively engaged.
  • Periodically inspect the chin bar hinge and latch mechanism for wear, debris or looseness; do not ride if the chin bar fails to lock securely.
  • If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it in cool water with mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before reinserting — never use a tumble dryer or direct heat.
  • Store the helmet in a carry bag or on a padded shelf in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, and chemical fumes, all of which degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible — the EPS liner absorbs energy by crushing and cannot be reliably inspected by eye.
  • As a general industry practice, consider replacing the helmet after approximately five years of regular use, or sooner if the shell, retention system, or padding shows visible wear.
