The Eurogrip Trailhound Wild is an adventure tyre made for larger, road-focussed adventure and dual-sport machines that still see their share of dirt. This is the 90/90-21 front fitment in a 54V load and speed rating, built as a tubeless, bias-construction tyre for the 21-inch front wheels used on most big adventure bikes.

Eurogrip developed the Trailhound Wild around new-generation polymer compounds and a multi-zone tread layout, so the tyre is asked to do different jobs across its width — steady, predictable behaviour on sealed roads, with bite in reserve when the surface turns to gravel or hardpack. It suits riders linking long highway stretches with unsealed detours rather than those chasing dedicated off-road performance.

Unveiled at EICMA 2025 in Milan, the Trailhound Wild is the newest addition to Eurogrip's adventure touring range.

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using proper tyre-changing equipment — never attempt a roadside fit with levers alone.
  • As a tubeless tyre, fit it only to a rim rated and sealed for tubeless use; if your wheel is spoked and not tubeless-sealed, a tube must be used and the tyre will then be subject to tube-type running conditions.
  • Observe any rotation arrow or fitment marking on the sidewall so the tread runs in its intended direction on the front wheel.
  • Scrub in the new tyre with roughly the first hundred kilometres of gentle riding — moderate lean angles, no hard braking or sharp acceleration — until the release-agent sheen is worn off the tread.
  • Check pressures when the tyre is cold, before riding, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer for the load you are carrying; adjust for two-up or luggage-laden touring.
  • Re-check pressures at least fortnightly and before any long trip, as under-inflation causes overheating, poor handling and rapid shoulder wear.
  • Do not exceed the load and speed limits of the 54V rating, and do not run the tyre at pressures above the maximum marked on the sidewall.
  • Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones or nails, especially after gravel and unsealed sections; have any damage assessed before riding on.
  • Replace the tyre once the tread reaches the wear indicators or the legal minimum depth in your state, and replace it if it has been run flat or badly damaged.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, solvents, fuels and electric motors, which generate ozone that degrades rubber.
  • Clean with mild soap and water only — avoid tyre shine, dressings and solvent-based cleaners, which can leave the tread surface slippery.
