The TVS Eurogrip Climber XC-R FIM is a competition enduro rear tyre built to FIM knob parameters, so it can be run in events where FIM-compliant rubber is mandated. This listing is the Super Soft compound in 140/80-18, marked with red sidewall stripes and intended for the most demanding, low-grip enduro courses where maximum traction and drive matter most.
It is a tube-type fitment for an 18-inch rear rim, rated 70R, and is designed to be paired with the Climber XC front. Riders after a more versatile all-round spec should look at the Medium (green stripes) version, while the Soft (white stripes) suits technical enduro with harder sections.
Built around a polyester carcass with modular stiffness, the Climber XC-R aims to hold its shape under braking and drive while the symmetrical knob layout lets you reverse the tyre on the rim once one side of the knobs has worn, stretching the life of the casing.

- Tube-type construction: always fit with a suitable inner tube and a new rim band; do not run tubeless.
- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre fitter using proper levers and rim protectors to avoid pinching the tube or damaging the bead.
- Use rim locks appropriate to your rim and torque them after fitting, then re-check once the tyre has settled — soft off-road compounds are often run at low pressures and can spin on the rim.
- Check and set pressures cold, before riding, and adjust to suit the surface and your event's requirements; re-check before every ride.
- Scrub in a new tyre with a few gentle laps or kilometres before pushing hard, so the mould release and fresh surface can wear off.
- Because the knob geometry is symmetrical, the tyre can be dismounted and refitted the other way around once one side of the knobs has worn, which recovers drive and braking edges.
- Inspect regularly for torn or chunked knobs, cuts, embedded stones and sidewall damage; replace the tyre if the casing is cut or the knobs are badly torn.
- The Super Soft compound is aimed at extreme, low-grip enduro terrain — expect faster wear if used on hard-pack, rocky or sealed surfaces, where the Medium or Soft variants are better suited.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, away from petrol, oils, solvents and electric motors that generate ozone.
- After riding, wash off mud and grit with water and mild detergent; avoid tyre dressings, silicone sprays and solvents on the tread.
