The SSB V-Spec VB14A-A2 is a 12-volt high performance AGM (absorbed glass mat) powersport battery rated at 12Ah with 310 cold cranking amps. It is a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of 14-series batteries, including CB14-A1, CB14-A2, CB14A-A2, CB14-B2, YTX14AH-BS, MBTX14AU and MG14-A2-C.

Suited to motorcycles, ATVs and other powersport machines that originally ran one of the part numbers above, the V-Spec range is built for reliable starting current in a compact 135 x 90 x 167 mm case. Before installing, confirm the battery's dimensions and terminal positions match your machine's tray and cable runs.
Check the state of charge before first use and top up with an AGM-compatible charger if required.
When disconnecting, remove the negative lead first and reconnect it last; keep tools clear of both terminals at once.
Keep terminals clean and tight, and apply a light smear of terminal protectant to reduce corrosion.
Charge only with a charger that has an AGM or sealed lead-acid mode; ordinary high-current or unregulated chargers can damage AGM cells.
During extended storage or over winter, keep the battery on a maintenance (trickle) charger, or recharge it periodically rather than leaving it flat.
Store and use the battery upright in a cool, dry place, secured in its tray so it cannot vibrate or shift.
Do not attempt to open the sealed case, add fluid or expose the battery to naked flames or sparks.
If the machine is slow to crank or the battery repeatedly goes flat, have the charging system output checked as well as the battery.
Recycle the old battery through a lead-acid battery collection point; do not place it in general waste.
