- Check the mirror stem thread and direction against your bike's mounts before fitting; thread adapters may be required on some models.
- Tighten mounting hardware firmly but do not overtighten, as chrome-plated fittings can gall or crack.
- Adjust the mirrors while seated on the bike in your normal riding position, then re-check the lock nuts.
- Re-check tightness after the first few rides and periodically thereafter, as vibration can loosen mirror stems.
- Clean the chrome with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry fully; avoid abrasive pads and solvent-based cleaners.
- Use a dedicated chrome polish and a light protective wax to guard against corrosion, particularly in coastal or winter conditions.
- Rinse off road salt, insects and bird droppings promptly to prevent pitting of the plating.
