The X-Tech Ute Bed Extender Ramp is a dual-purpose aluminium frame that bolts and straps to your ute tailgate. Opened out flat it forms a 2.4 metre tri-fold loading ramp rated to 272kg; reversed, it encloses the tailgate area so longer loads can be carried safely with the tailgate down.
It suits riders and tradespeople who need to load a bike, mower or ATV into a ute or truck tray without carrying a separate ramp and extender. Welded crossbars and an aluminium build keep it strong while staying light enough for one person to set up and stow.

- Fit the mounting hardware and straps to the tailgate as supplied, and confirm every strap and fastener is tight before each load.
- Open the ramp out fully and make sure all three folding sections are flat, aligned and supported before driving or wheeling anything up.
- Stay within the 272kg (600lb) rating, and also check your vehicle's tailgate and tray load limits — the lower of the two applies.
- Load and unload slowly with the vehicle parked on level ground, handbrake on, and use a second person to steady heavier bikes and machinery.
- Keep the ramp surface clear of mud, oil, fuel and loose gravel; a slippery surface is the most common cause of a dropped load.
- Wash with mild detergent and water, rinse off road salt and dirt after coastal or wet-weather use, and allow it to dry before folding.
- Inspect the welded crossbars, folding joints and straps regularly for cracks, bends, corrosion or fraying, and take the ramp out of service if you find damage.
- Fold and store flat in a dry place, secured so it cannot slide around the tray in transit.
- Don't modify, drill or weld the frame, and don't use it as a bridge or unsupported platform between two raised points.
