- Before fitting, disconnect the indicator from the wiring harness to avoid accidental electrical contact.
- Carefully remove the damaged lens by undoing any screws or clips holding it to the indicator body — do not force the housing.
- Inspect the indicator body and bulb/socket for any damage before installing the new lens.
- Clean the mating surfaces of the indicator body before fitting the replacement lens to ensure a proper seal.
- Secure the new lens using the original fasteners; do not overtighten, as this can crack the lens or housing.
- After fitting, reconnect the indicator and test the flash rate and brightness before riding.
