  • Inspect the strap, buckle, and hooks before every use for signs of fraying, cuts, corrosion, or deformation — do not use a damaged strap.
  • Route the strap according to your trailer or ute-tray anchor points, ensuring a straight pull without sharp edges that could abrade the webbing.
  • Do not exceed the working load limit marked on the strap label; never use a tiedown strap as a primary lift sling.
  • After use, release tension gradually rather than unclipping under full load to avoid sudden rebound.
  • Clean webbing with mild soap and lukewarm water; rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before storage.
  • Store away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and chemicals such as fuel, solvents, or battery acid, which degrade webbing and hardware.
  • Coil or fold neatly and store in a bag or container to prevent tangling and UV exposure.
  • Replace the strap if the webbing shows fading, stiffness, or any structural damage — do not attempt to repair webbing yourself.
