Charge the unit fully before first use, and recharge it using a 5V/1A DC supply.
Check the LED battery indicator regularly and top the pack up before it sits empty for long periods — a flat lithium cell left uncharged will lose capacity.
Re-charge after every use; a full charge is rated for up to three starting attempts, so don't rely on a partly charged unit for a long trip.
Use on petrol vehicles only. Do not attempt to start diesel engines with this unit.
Connect the clamps to the correct terminals (red to positive, black to negative) before attempting a start, and disconnect once the engine is running.
Allow a short pause between starting attempts rather than cranking repeatedly back-to-back.
Operate and store the unit between -20°C and 60°C; keep it out of direct sun on hot days, such as inside a closed vehicle or a dark tank bag in summer.
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and fuel. The unit is not rated as waterproof, so keep it in a sealed bag if it is carried on the bike in wet weather.
Wipe the housing and clamp jaws with a soft, slightly damp cloth; keep the USB and DC ports free of dust and never use solvents.
Do not open, crush, puncture or expose the pack to fire, and stop using it if the case is swollen, cracked or damaged.
