Verify wiring polarity before connecting — reverse polarity can damage the motor. Wire through an appropriately rated fuse to protect the electrical circuit.
Ensure the fan blades have sufficient clearance from surrounding components before operating; inadequate clearance causes vibration and premature wear.
Mount the fan firmly using suitable brackets or mounting tabs to prevent vibration-induced fatigue on wiring connections over time.
Connect the fan to a switched circuit (ignition-on) rather than a permanent live feed unless a dedicated thermostat or relay is installed.
If using a thermostat switch, confirm the switch rating is compatible with the fan's current draw to avoid switch failure.
